Pilgrim hop pellets. UK - Crop '12 (AA 10%) Bulk price (450gm+) = $2.00 per 90gm Has been compared to Target, but much hoppier with a profile similar to "Pioneer" Great bittering as well as finishing hop. PILGRIM: Brewing Quality In brewing trials Pigrim has performed well as a replacement for high alpha or dual purpose hops. Because of its alpha it has been compared to Target more than any other variety. It has however a much hoppier aroma than Target due to its higher levels of Humulene and Challenger-like Selinene levels. From early storage trials stability of the alpha acids in Pilgrim seem to be excellent. Origin/History Pilgrim is a mid-late ripening very Wilt resistant dual-purpose variety (9 - 13% alpha) which was developed at HRI Wye and released in 2000. It has the same father as First Gold and Herald although it is not a dwarf variety. Agronomics Pilgrim has a very vigorous growth habit and has good resistance to both powdery and downy mildew. It has shown to be the most Wilt resistant variety to date and is a very high yielder.
